Protection Spells

PROTECTION SPELLS

Spells to Protect Pets
With some level of emotion hold the image of your kitties being safe in your
mind. Feel your desire for their continued safety. If one is gone from your side
imagine what it will be like when your pet returns. Rough out the images as
clearly as you can. You can incorporate this technique into other, more
structured, ritual forms.
To keep your cats free from fleas, soak garlic in olive oil and mix a tablespoon
of the oil in with their food daily. (I would add that, while you soak the
garlic and whenever you place it in the cat’s dish, you might visualize the
fleas jumping off the cat and never coming back.)
Take some fur of the cat (shed fur will do nicely). Tie fur into a bunch with
some red thread (silk by preference, although cotton or even acrylic will do).
Invoke the blessing of your patron deity. Place consecrated fur into a canister
(the following is imperative!). The canister must be reflective on the outside,
but NOT on the inside (If the canister is reflective on the inside, it will
focus malicious intent on the cats!). Seal the canister with red wax (just a dab
will do) Place canister next to cat’s usual exit. Red is the color of
protection, silk is an insulator, the reflective canister reflects malicious
intent, the blessing is for extra whammy to the spell.

To Safeguard the Cook and Kitchen
Aloe has long been considered a magical/medicinal plant. Grow one in your
kitchen, or as near your kitchen as you can, to safeguard you from nasty kitchen
accidents such as cuts and burns. Dab some aloe gel on your major kitchen
appliances, tools, doors and windows to safeguard them as well.
Garlic is well known for its protective qualities. Place a bulb of garlic on
your kitchen window, or hang a rope of garlic in your kitchen. Do not ever use
these for food–remember, they are there collecting negative energy.
Periodically, remove the garlic and bury in the earth. Remember to thank the
garlic and the earth for their service to you.
A Kitchen Witch Bottle will protect your food from contamination or burning.
There are many ways of constructing these, but I like to put three needles,
three pins and three iron nails into a jar filled with salt. Seal it tightly and
shake it vigorously nine times. Place three dabs of red wax along the seal.
While you’re constructing your Kitchen Witch Bottle, visualize your kitchen as a
peaceful, safe place, full of delicious aromas, and savory food. Place your
Kitchen Witch Bottle on a top shelf of your cupboard where it will not be
disturbed.

To Make a Purification Broom
From time to time it is necessary to purify our home because of sickness,
conflict in the home, etc. Many witches also like to purify the home in the
spring, and Ostara, the upcoming Spring Equinox, is a traditional time to make
our brooms and use them. I like to make short brooms for this ritual because
they’re easier to use, but you may make a longer one if you like.
You will need a straight branch, approximately 12 to 18 inches long and ½ inch
in diameter (if you can’t find a branch, a dowel will do), scissors, raffia and
a bowl of salt water. You will also need bunches of any of the following plants:
cedar, fennel, lavender, rosemary, or broom. Ideally, these plants should come
from your magickal garden.
Assemble your tools and materials and create a sacred space to work in. Charge
the branch and plant materials by taking each in turn in your hands and sending
purifying energies into them. Visualize a white cleansing light emanating from
your hands and being absorbed by the branch and plants. Take the raffia and tie
three circles on one end of the branch while you say: “I bind you in
purification.” Now take several stalks of the plant materials, leafy ends down,
and place them around the end of the branch with the three loops of raffia (to
form a round broom shape). Visualize the white light, and tie three loops around
the branch and plants. Place another layer of plant material around the branch,
tie three more loops while you visualize. Do this until your broom is as full as
you want. Tie the end of the raffia three times around the branch and plants,
pull the end through some of the loops and tie three knots. Snip off the excess
raffia. Thank the branch and plant materials for their sacrifice.
Sprinkle some of the salt water on the broom sweeps and visualize all negative
forces melting away. Now walk to your door, open it and vigorously sweep close
to the floor (you don’t actually have to sweep the floor). Visualize all
negativity being swept out the door. Now moving clockwise around the house,
sweep each door and window and at the upper and lower corners of each room. When
you’ve made your way back to the door, open it again, sweep out, then shake your
broom vigorously three times to shake away anything that stuck to it. Leave it
outside your door, do not bring it in again. At your first opportunity, take it
apart and bury all the materials.

Exercise
Sit in a comfortable place away from noise and distraction. Close your eyes and
visualize a white silken cord in your hands. Now visualize tying a knot. Watch
your fingers lacing the ends of the cord around each other, feel the cord’s
silken texture between your fingers and on the palms of your hands. Watch as you
slip one end of the cord through a loop and pull both ends into a secure, tight
knot. Do this exercise often. You will use this technique in binding spells.

WHITE MAGICK

The history of White Magick and its spiritual practices date back to ancient times, when people realized and learned that they could manipulate the conscience mind utilizing the natural forces of the universe to bring about a greater good for all of humanity. History tells us that is was the ancient Celts, whose religion was Pantheistic, meaning they worshiped many aspects of the creative life source, worshipped both the Gods and the Goddesses.

The religious beliefs and practices of the Celts grew into what later became known a Paganism, derived from the Latin word Paganus, meaning "country dweller." This outgrowth was consistent with the Celts' love for the land and their holding such things as the oak tree and mistletoe sacred.

After North America was discovered and Europeans began migrating to the new land, witchcraft came into practice by some of the early, colonial settlers. Since it had previously been branded as "demon-worship," witchcraft was forbidden throughout the North American colonies. Despite this order, some colonists secretly practiced witchcraft knowing they would be hanged or burned if they were caught. It has been said that certain rituals performed by early American witches helped shield their settlements from attacks by Native Americans.

Here we are in the 21st Century, and magic and the practice of witchcraft is alive and well. While we are all familiar with the term “Black Magic”, “White Magick” is completely the opposite. White Magick is the practice of intentional spell workings and rituals harnessing the universal powers of all that is good and that will bring a positive end result, harming none.

Summoning Hekate

How to summon Hekate

Hecate is preferably summoned near crossroads, or where two roads meet, ideally in the wilderness. This is particularly beneficial when contacting the Goddess for the first time as it helps deepen the connection. However, as I already mentioned she can be summoned indoors as well and guard the house of all intruders psychic or physical.

The ideal time for summoning Hekate is when the moon is waning, particularly during the period on or after the third Quarter and during the Dark Moon/New Moon phase.

To summon her, I suggest to prepare an incense containing the following:
1 part lavender
1 part mullein
1/2 part yew

Optional additions:
3 cypress balls
Dried cyclamen flowers
One drop of your blood

While the incense is burning the following invocation is used to summon Hecate from the Orphic Hymns which I have translated in English:

Hekate of the roads I invoke, the one who is adored at the crossroads and where the three roads meet.
Celestial, Chtonian and Marine, you who wear the saffron coloured veil,
Sepulchral One, who celebrates in Bacchic Ecstasy with the souls of the Dead,
Daughter of Perses, Lover of solitude, who enjoys the company of deers.
Nocturnal one, Protectress of Dogs, Irresistible Queen,
the One who emits the sounds of beasts, ungirt One,
Herder of Bulls, Queen of all Worlds who holds all keys,
Guide, Nymphe, Nurturer of youth, Wanderer of mountains,
I ask thee Maiden to be present in my(our) sacred rites,
Favourable to the herder (or the leader/high priest(ess)/myself), filled with graciousness and with propitious mood.

WHAT IS WICCA?

What is Wicca really?
1. Witchcraft means “Craft of the Wise Ones” and is also known as the “Old Religion”. Its practices can be traced to Neolithic (“Stone Age”) cave paintings. In early times, the Witch was the local lawyer, psychiatrist, and doctor. The field of modern medicine can trace its origins to the herbal medicines of the Witch.
Witchcraft is a nature religion, not unlike the shamanism of the Native Americans. As the concepts of male and female exist through-out life — indeed, are necessary to create it — most Witches perceive Deity as male and female: the Goddess and the God. Like the concept of the Trinity, these aren’t “many” Gods; they are aspects of the ONE Creator.
The Goddess is seen as Mother Earth and Mother Nature, and is represented by the Moon. She is seen in the fertility of the plant, animal, and human kingdoms. Her power is at a peak in the “fertile half” of the year, from May until October.
The God is seen in the woodlands, the Sun, grain, & the hunt. Because most of the animals that prehistoric humans hunted had horns, He is usually depicted as the “Horned One”. His power is at a peak in the “dark half” of the year, from October to May.
2. Wiccans don’t do evil. They believe in the Wiccan Rede, which is “If It Harms None, Do What You Will”. (In other words, “Dowhatever you want; just as long as it doesn’t harm anyone — including yourself “).
Witches also believe in the Three-Fold Law, which states that whatever you do — be it good or evil — comes back to you three times over, so (obviously) there is no incentive to do evil.
3. Wiccans do NOT believe in or worship Satan, and do not perform any sort of human or animal sacrifices. Satan is a relatively new concept that originated with Christianity. Witches put the responsibility for our own actions squarely on whom it belongs: ourselves. Witchcraft teaches us to be responsible people who take responsibility for our own actions.
When the Christian Church decided to obliterate religions that were a threat to its power (including Witchcraft), they decided that their “Satan” had horns and that Witches were actually worshipping the Devil. This became the death warrant for millions of innocent people.
4. The Pentagram (a five-pointed star in an upright, one-point-up position) is the symbol of our religion. The top point symbolizes Spirit (the Creator) being ‘above’, or ruling, the Four Elements of Life — Air, Fire, Water, & Earth — which are the four lowerpoints.
The Circle, being without beginning or end, symbolizes the Deity. It is completely encompassing the Star within it (which represents the out-stretched human body, reaching out in search of its connection with Spirit). Together, they represent the Creator’s Protection & Wisdom.
Inverting the Pentagram, as is done by Satanists, symbolizes that the Elements (the “material world”) are superior to the Creator. Unfortunately, through misunderstandings that have been repeated by the media, the Pentagram — in whatever position — has become wrongly equated with Satanism. (Please note, though, that in England, there are several traditions that use the inverted pentagram as a symbol for a second degree — which obviously has nothing to do with Satanism).
5. A male Witch is not a “Warlock”. This is a Scottish term, meaning “traitor”, or “oathbreaker”. (A male Witch is a “Witch”).
6. Wiccans are non-proselytizing; we don’t seek to convert anyone. We feel that all religions are equally valid, and that you should be free to choose the one with which you are most comfortable. No religion has the monopoly of God (despite what some may claim).  In our opinion, far too many religions place too much emphasis on the actual religion (or it’s leader), and seem to be worshiping that, instead of God. This, in our opinion, is wrong thinking.  As long as it doesn’t infringe on the rights of others, we all have a right to our own method of worshiping the Deity.

Candle spells for weight loss

Candle Weight Loss Spell

You get 1 white, 1 blue, and 1yellow candle. Light them all in front of a mirror and say this chant:
Lighter thinner
that I say
Make me my right size
this very day
When you finish this chant, pour the wax from the candles into a small glass with a new wick in it. Repeat this day after day until your new candle is made. Burn your new candle until it or the wind puts the candle out. When you're feeling overweight again light the candle and let it put itself out.

Spell to Lose Weight

Take a piece of parchment paper and draw a pentacle in the center. In each point write one word of
“Refrigerator Stay Invisible To Me”

While writing concentrate on yourself at the desired weight you have in mind.
Attach the paper to the fridge, until you reach your goal. Moon should be waning.

Weight Loss Spell

Meditate during the waning moon. Light a pink candle for self-love. Anoint it with the oil of your choice. Next light a brown candle, engrave the number of pounds you want to loose on it. Then visualize banishing the excess weight. Runes can also be carved on the candle if you wish and incense can be burned. Visualize the smoke taking the excess pounds away!!

Will Power Spell

This is a meditation spell. You will require a number of candles. Basically any shape candles but their colors should be light blue, white or purple.
This spell can be cast anywhere where you can remain for a period of time (the longer the better) and where you will be undisturbed and comfortable. Light the candles and start the incents or potpourri (you don?t need both, just one, or if the candles are scented that works as well).
Lay down in your comfortable place and chant the following chant:
Give me strength and guide me right,
To my goals when they?re in sight,
But even when they?re far away;
Guide myself towards the day
When I shall stand upon the shore
My conflicts gone forever more.
And guide myself to make the choice,
That I can?t bring myself to voice;
And calm my tormented, ravaged soul,
From right now till forever more.
The more often the chant is spoken, the more will power you will be given. The spell will fade over time and it is best if it is cast weekly.

Mirror Weight Loss Spell

Meditate during the waning moon. Light a pink candle for self-love. Anoint it with the oil of your choice. Next light a brown candle, engrave the number of pounds you want to loose on it. Then visualize banishing the excess weight. Runes can also be carved on the candle if you wish and incense can be burned. Visualize the smoke taking the excess pounds away!!

Shrink my waist spell

Light the candles.
Write on one side of the paper what your current waist measurement is, then on the other side write what you wish it to be. Place the paper, current side up, in front of the candles.
Mark on the measuring tape where you wish your waist to measure with the adhesive take, then x out where you are now with the permanent marker.
Sit and meditate. Visualize how you will look and feel when you are at your goal. Really feel the pride, happiness, excitement, etc.
Once you have a solid picture of it all in your mind, take the paper and burn each end in the flame of one of the candles and place on the plate, imagining that the inches are burning away with the paper.
Take the cord and begin to tie knots, starting at one end and alternating while moving from the outside inward until you reach 9 knots. Tie it around your neck out wrist.
By this time the paper should be ash, so gather the ash and release it into the winds, saying "so mote it be" as the ashes float away.
As your waist shrinks, mark off the new measurement with the marker until you hit the tape.
Once you reach your goal, bury the cord as an offering to the earth.
